Brunswick participated in the NEPSAC Wrestling Championships this weekend which were won by the host school, Brooks. Brunswick's somewhat depleted team finished 11th of 46 teams, and 5 Brunswick wrestlers placed in the highly competitive tournament.
Andrew Hennessy (FR) - 5th place at 106 lb.
Jimmy Bell (SR) - 4th place at 132 lb.
Owen Schubert (SR) - 8th place at 138 lb.
Griffin Thomas (SO) - 6th place at 160 lb.
Joe Fervil (SO) - 8th place at 285 lb.
Bell became a three-time NE placewinner. Schubert placed for the second year in a row out of an unseeded position once again this year. Thomas' run in the tournament was particularly impressive as he was a JV wrestler most of the year behind senior captain Gregg Nabhan who had knee surgery this past week.
Prep Nationals is the weekend of February 22 at Lehigh; Hennessy, Bell, and Thomas have qualified.
